The Missouri River Festival of the Arts is the oldest performing arts festival in the state of Missouri and is held in the oldest theater in continuous use west of the Allegheny Mountains.

Under the artistic direction of David Halen, Concertmaster of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra as well as the Aspen Music Festival, we have the best of both symphonies to create a one of a kind festival! Mr. Halen has planned the following outstanding lineup of performances: (performances are subject to last minutes changes or additions as necessary to provide the finest quality programming).

Thursday, August 26 – “The Broadway Opener!” Sarah Nordin and Tyler Putnam bring their stellar vocal talents to kick off the Missouri River Festival of the Arts in sizzling style.

Festival Bike Tour

Saturday, August 21
Thespian Hall
522 Main Street

The Festival Ride is held in conjunction with the Missouri River Festival of the Arts and is sponsored by the Friends of Historic Boonville, a group dedicated to the arts and the preservation of our historic structures.  The ride takes place the weekend before the festival begins.

Your ride will begin (and end) at the historic Thespian Hall in Downtown Boonville.  From there, you will head out on the 42 mile “Wooldridge Route”.  Once you arrive in Prairie Home (2nd Rest Stop) you will roll on to Wooldridge… or take the optional “Loop to Lupus” (Lupus is a small community right on the Missouri River).  The “Loop” adds 10 very challenging (hilly) miles to the original 42-mile route for a total of 52 miles. All miles are some of the more scenic in Missouri with decent road surfaces and relatively little traffic. (22 mile option is an out and back to the 1st rest stop on HWY U).

As always, it is the people who make it a great ride!  Please join us and bring your friends! The ride is well supported with rest stops and support vehicles. When you finish, we will be serving FREE ICE CREAM on the front steps of Thespian Hall.

Registration may be done online at www.bikereg.com

Thank you

We want to dedicate this year’s performance to longtime Chairman, Frank Thacher.  Frank was passionate about the Missouri River Festival of the Arts.  His dedication to the festival made it the anticipated annual event we have today.

None of this would be possible without the help of a dedicated group of individuals.  We want to thank each and everyone of them for their assistance in making this event a success.

Special Thanks ~
The Missouri River Festival of the Arts Committee: Cathy Bail, Suzanne Drummond, Sam Giroux, Steve Litwiller, Kyle Thacher, Megan Thieman
